General Questions
What is TypenDrop?
TypenDrop is an AI-powered page generator for WordPress Elementor. You describe the page you want in plain English, and our AI creates a complete, ready-to-use Elementor layout. You can copy-paste the JSON into Elementor or publish directly to your WordPress site.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. TypenDrop is designed for non-technical users. You write a description of what you want, and the AI handles all the technical output. Basic familiarity with WordPress and Elementor is helpful but not required.
Which Elementor version do I need?
TypenDrop works with all modern versions of Elementor. For the Container output format, you need Elementor 3.6 or newer with containers enabled. The Legacy format works with all Elementor versions.
Can I edit the generated pages in Elementor?
Yes. The generated JSON creates standard Elementor elements. Once imported, you can edit, move, restyle, and customize everything just like any other Elementor page.
Generation Questions
How long does generation take?
- One-Shot mode: Typically 15–45 seconds depending on page complexity
- Architect mode: Varies based on the conversation, but the final generation step takes a similar amount of time
Why does my page look different than expected?
Several factors affect the final appearance:
- Your WordPress theme may override some Elementor styles
- Elementor version differences can affect how widgets render
- Browser differences may cause minor visual variations
- Try adjusting the style settings for more control
Can I regenerate a page if I don't like the result?
Yes. Simply modify your prompt or settings and generate again. Each generation creates a new result — your previous results are saved in the project history.
What's the difference between One-Shot and Architect?
One-Shot generates a complete page from a single prompt — fast and simple. Architect uses a multi-turn conversation where the AI asks clarifying questions to produce more detailed, refined pages. Learn more about both modes and Architect mode.
WordPress Questions
Why can't I connect my WordPress site?
Common causes:
- Wrong URL — Make sure you include
https://and the exact domain - REST API disabled — Some security plugins block the WordPress REST API
- Application password not supported — You need WordPress 5.6+ or the Application Passwords plugin
- Incorrect credentials — Double-check your username and application password
- CORS issues — Some server configurations block external API requests
How do I create an application password?
Go to your WordPress admin, navigate to Users > Profile, scroll to the Application Passwords section, and create a new one. Full instructions here.
Can I use TypenDrop without WordPress?
Yes. You can generate pages and copy the JSON output manually. WordPress integration is optional — it adds convenience for direct publishing and media access.
Account & Billing Questions
How do credits work?
Each generation consumes credits based on complexity and the mode used. Credits renew monthly on your billing date. On Pro and Max plans, unused credits roll over to the next month.
What happens when I run out of credits?
You won't be able to generate new pages until your credits renew on your next billing date, or you upgrade to a plan with more credits.
Can I downgrade my plan?
Yes. Go to your subscription management page from the user menu. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.
Do annual plans include the same features as monthly?
Yes. Annual plans have identical features to monthly plans — the only difference is the billing frequency and the discount (save approximately 2 months per year).
Can I get a refund?

Troubleshooting
The page won't paste into Elementor
- Make sure you copied the JSON output, not the raw text from the chat
- In Elementor, right-click on the canvas and select Paste from other sites
- Try using Ctrl+V (or Cmd+V on Mac) directly on the Elementor canvas
- Clear your clipboard and copy the JSON again
Generation seems stuck
- Check your internet connection
- Try refreshing the page and generating again
- If using Architect mode, the AI may be in an extended thinking phase — wait a moment
- Click the stop button to cancel and try again
Styles don't match what I expected
- Switch from Auto style to a specific Preset or Custom style
- Make sure your WordPress theme isn't overriding Elementor styles
- Check that your Elementor version supports the output format you selected
Dashboard won't load
- Clear your browser cache and cookies
- Try a different browser
- Disable browser extensions that might interfere
- Ensure you're using a desktop browser (TypenDrop's dashboard requires a desktop screen)
