WordPress Integration

Media Library

Browse, upload, and use your WordPress images in AI-generated pages.

The Media Picker lets you browse your WordPress media library and include your own images in AI-generated pages.

Opening the Media Picker

  1. Click the Media Picker button in the generation controls (bottom of the dashboard)
  2. The picker opens showing your WordPress media library
  3. Browse, search, and select images to attach to your generation

Browsing Images

The media picker displays all images from your connected WordPress site. You can:

  • Scroll through your full media library
  • View image details — title, alt text, dimensions
  • Select multiple images to include in your generation

Uploading New Images

You can upload new images directly from TypenDrop:

  1. Click Upload in the media picker
  2. Select an image from your computer
  3. Crop the image if needed — a built-in cropper lets you resize and adjust
  4. Add a title and alt text for the image
  5. Click Upload to add it to your WordPress media library

The uploaded image is immediately available for selection.

Using Images in Generations

After selecting images:

  1. Each image gets an asset reference (like {{ASSET_1}}, {{ASSET_2}})
  2. Add usage hints for each image — tell the AI where to use it:
    • "Use as hero background"
    • "Team member photo for the About section"
    • "Product image for the features section"
  3. The AI reads your hints and places each image in the appropriate location in the layout

Tips for Image Hints

  • Be specific: "Hero banner background" is better than "use somewhere"
  • Reference sections: "For the testimonials section" helps the AI place it correctly
  • You can use multiple images — each gets its own hint

Site Selection (Max Plan)

If you have multiple WordPress sites connected, a site selector appears at the top of the media picker. Switch between sites to browse different media libraries.

Supported Formats

The media picker supports all standard WordPress image formats:

  • JPEG / JPG
  • PNG
  • GIF
  • WebP
  • SVG (if enabled in WordPress)
